Description: Vinha da Francisca (Douro, Portugal) – from a vineyard planted in 2004 by Cristiano van Zeller in tribute to his daughter Francisca. A blend of Tinta Francisca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Rufete and Sousão, aged 20 months in new French oak; intense dark red fruit with floral and spicy notes. The estate’s most awarded wine. Faustino I Gran Reserva 2004 (Rioja, Spain) – the flagship of Bodegas Faustino, recognisable by the Rembrandt portrait on its label. A Tempranillo-led blend with extended oak and bottle ageing, from a highly regarded Rioja vintage; mature, complex and savoury.
